The Melia Zanzibar Hotel is Now Open

The Spanish-based international hotel group, Melia, has added a new property to its expanding Club Melia, one of the industry's most popular vacation clubs.

The resort is located on a grand 100-acre estate with a private beach in the northeast of Zanzibar. The accommodation comprises seven luxury villas, all with individual pools and gardens, and around 100 condominiums with lounges, spacious bathrooms, an outdoor tropical rain shower and picturesque views.
The resort's restaurant, Spices, offers a wide range of international cuisine with a strong Arab and African influence on both the a la carte menu and buffet. The Gabi Beach Club provides a concierge service, large Balinese beds and a wood-fired oven serving grilled specialities.
Continuing with the beachfront theme, the Jetty Bar & Lounge at the seafront serves international snacks and tapas while The Library is the resort's signature bar.
Guests can enjoy a range of treatments at the hotel's Anantara spa in one of the various private treatment cabins or the two outdoor Thai massage pavilions.
