Websites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and Internet blogs mean that social media and mobile marketing have become a part of everyday life. RCI, in line with its innovative social media marketing strategy, has designed the applications as the ideal vehicle for its members to plan their holidays and share their experiences.
Geoff Ballotti, the company's CEO said: "We are committed to developing great content and the best social media applications for our members to enjoy....These new applications bring an exciting and dynamic element to RCI and we're planning to expand these channels and make our ever-growing travel and resort content more widely available across our social networks."
The first of the applications is RCITV for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The app allows users to view featured Destination Channel videos, email video links or save them as "favourites". The other application is the RCI SnapBook.
SnapBook is a brilliant tool that allows users to save photos, videos, voice memos and texts on their phone, whilst on holiday. The perfect place for capturing holiday memories all in one place, photos and footage can be uploaded onto www.RCISnapBook.com and published as scrapbooks, timelines or even map displays that can then be shared amongst friends.
