Luxury hotel in Jamaica secures designer expertise

The Palmyra Resort and Spa, Jamaica's first luxury beachfront hotel and casino, has recently secured Robb and Stucky Interiors' involvement in a large portion of the design and creation of custom furnishings for 288 condominiums and the signature spa and clubhouse.

The high-end development of three 12-storey buildings, set against 16 acres of prime oceanfront in the grounds of a former plantation, began in late 2005. The second tower was completed in May this year and the completion of the Sentry Palm Tower and a private village of 11 condominium villas is expected by the end of this year. The villas, which are linked by garden rooms and plazas, will range from $450,000 to $3.5 million.

Nancy Woodhouse, IDS, Robb and Stucky Senior Designer, alongside April Campbell, ASID, is leading the design team for the project and commented, "The architecture and design of this property is incredibly beautiful, showing a major attention to detail in the exquisite quality of the flooring, staircases, surfaces and various fixtures. I believe, upon completion, this will be the nicest property on the island."
