Visit Scotland Expo Returns

Visit Scotland Expo Returns

Monday 7th November 2011

The popular Visit Scotland Expo is set to return to Edinburgh on April 25th and 26th next year after a five year absence from the capital. The location of the expo - the Royal Highland Centre - is expected to generate an astonishing £1.7million for Scotland's economy.
Scotland has become a major timeshare destination, with Hilton and Mariott amongst the many shared ownership specialists with resorts in the area.
Gleneagles' Seasonal Ownership by the world-famous Gleneagles golf course in picturesque Perthshire is one of the most prestigious resorts in Europe.
Mike Cantlay, Chairman of Visit Scotland, said: "We are delighted to be bringing Scotland's flagship trade show back to Edinburgh. Expo 2011 proved a fantastic showcase for the whole of Scotland, as buyers from the likes of the USA, Canada and Europe, as well as emerging markets such as India and Russia sought to add Scotland to their tour itineraries".
Scotland is also the ideal place to enjoy a golfing holiday, with many spectacular courses throughout the country. Golf Tourism Scotland and the International Association of Golf Tour Operators are collaborating to boost international awareness of Scotland's finest golf courses, to encourage visitors from outside the UK to enjoy its fairways and breathtaking views.
