Mexican resorts added to portfolio

Global vacation exchange company Interval International has recently welcomed the Tau nahui and Tau Santa Maria resorts into its network as the latest additions to its portfolio. These two destinations in Mexico form part of Tau Resorts, a company with a collection of beachfront properties and boutique eco-resorts.

Marcos Agostini, Vice President for Latin America, resort sales and service at Interval International, explained "We're very pleased to be working with Tau Resorts, a partnership between two companies - Guadalajara-based C&C Capital, and Nayarit-based GEN Investments - that have more than 20 years of combined experience in development, management, and operations. These resorts will give our members the opportunity to experience some of the rich cultural traditions and ecological diversity of this region."
Tau nahui will form part of a 2,100-acre mixed use community located on a three-mile stretch of coastline on Banderas Bay to the north of Puerto Vallarta. The first phase is expected to be complete by early 2011, each of the 168 units featuring elegant contemporary furnishings and state-of-the-art appliances, as well as a spacious terrace. By late 2012, two additional phases are scheduled for completion. There are also plans for 450 private residences and a 100-room hotel.
Facilities at Tau nahui will include a private beach club and water sports center on the well-known Playa Destilederas, an 18-hole golf course and several long hiking trails. Guests will also be able to visit the village of Pueblo nahui with its restaurants, shops, cafés, entertainment venues and cultural activities.
Tau Santa Maria is a rustic style resort situated on the shores of a lake in a dormant volcano to the northeast of Puerto Vallarta. This attractive location is a favourite with nature-lovers, birdwatchers in particular. The waters are crystal clear and mineral-rich, and are warmed by thermal currents. Facilities at the site include a restaurant, gardens, swimming pool, water sports and adventure activities.
