The village features The Machrihanish Golf Club which was opened in 1876 and designed by Old Tom Morris. Just across the road from the resort lies an 18-hole golf course, designed by David McLay Kidd, with the first tee being regarded as the greatest opening hole in golf.
Since the resort first opened, it has attracted many golfers, with Ronan Rafferty, European Tour Order of Merit and a former European Ryder Cup member being just a couple of people amongst the first to purchase.
Fractional ownership of cottages at the resort will be available to purchase in four-week periods with prices ranging from £46,000 to £69,700. The fractional owners are entitled to use the golf course without any charge during their weeks of occupancy, along with a two year membership of the Registry Collection programme.
For those not interested in golf, there are many attractions to be found in the local area, including a beach, biking and hiking trails, wind surfing, a wildlife reserve and an observatory. The Village at Machrihanish Dunes also features the Old Clubhouse Pub, which has been newly renovated.
