YachtPlus launches a new Super Yacht, "Ocean Pearl"

An exciting fractional ownership option

Monday 29th March 2010

YachtPlus is a leading company offering fractional ownership in luxurious Super Yachts. At the beginning of March 2010, YachtPlus launched its second yacht in La Spezia in Italy. This 41 metre yacht is identical to its sister yacht Ocean Emerald, designed by Norman Foster. It will offer a range of cruises through the Mediterranean in summer 2010 and will move to the Caribbean during winter 2011.
"We are delighted with the response from the owners who spent this summer on Ocean Emerald and are extremely optimistic about the future of the next three yachts that will continue to grow the YachtPlus fleet. The many enquiries we have received over the past few months and the very positive comments from current owners is a testament to the concept of fractional ownership which is rapidly becoming acknowledged as the most financially astute way in which to own a super-yacht," said John Hare, Chairman of YachtPlus. Mr Hare continued, "These are challenging financial times and increasingly more people, many former sole yacht owners, are turning to fractional ownership as the most cost effective, stress-free and viable way to own a luxury super-yacht."
A fractional ownership allows many to enjoy yacht ownership without having to invest in the full cost of an asset that is typically used only infrequently. Owners also save a substantial proportion of the annual running costs as well as the hassle and issues that arise from sole ownership of luxury yachts.
Ocean Sapphire, the third yacht in the YachtPlus family, is due to arrive in May 2010 whilst the fourth yacht is scheduled for the beginning of 2011. All four yachts will offer an identical design ensuring a consistent high quality and luxury ownership for all members.
Compared to the full cost of a luxury yacht, the price of a 1/8th share in one of these yachts is a steal at just €1,875,000. Owners will have 30 nights a year split between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean. Alternatively a 1/16th share is available at just €975,000 giving the owners 15 nights a year onboard. In addition there is an annual management fee of €200,000 for an 1/8th share covering maintenance, a crew of 7, marine and hotel operations, lifestyle management, transoceanic crossings, port charges and all other costs associated with owning a luxury yacht.
